In order to combat the independent will of a 3 year old
(as a wise friend shared, 3 is 2 with intent) I find myself offering choices. Many times, its the lesser of two evils;
"you can either eat your dinner or go to bed" -
"you can speak nicely or have a seat in time out".
What if there isn't a semi-positive option?
Hopefully my children will choose not to let the evil in or let it out.....
